Firstly, consider airing the garment instead of washing it. If washing is necessary, follow these steps:
- Hand wash at 25ºC separately, using wool detergent without enzymes or optical brighteners.
- Avoid soaking the garment.
- Gently move it back and forth without rubbing or squeezing. - Rinse until the water is completely clear, maintaining a consistent water temperature.
- Lightly spin the garment at about 800rpm, using a program that doesn’t add water.
- Alternatively, press the water out carefully with a dry towel without twisting or rolling the garment.
- To dry, shape the garment and lay it flat, ideally on a warm bathroom floor or a drying rack in a well-ventilated room. Avoid hanging and direct sunlight. Do not tumble dry.
Note: For projects made with multiple yarn types, follow the washing instructions for the most delicate yarn used.
